I don't pretend to be that good at the Rock Band games I've played so far (Beatles, Lego, Country Track Pack). Mostly I struggle along at "Medium" difficulty, occasionally stepping with mixed results into the "Hard" category on some of the Beatles tracks. Lego Rock Band seems more challenging than the Beatles. Having long associated Lego characters with the toys I've bought for my children (and, now, grandchildren), that came as a surprise, albeit an enjoyable one. The visuals are Lego-fun and obviously the result of a lot of clever, tongue-in-cheek imagination. The music is a bit heavy on the '80s '90s bands for my taste (hey, give me a break...I'm in my 60s), but more than a few of the tracks are up-tempo, fun-to-play numbers that offer, as I noted before, both rhythmic and fingering challenges. After purchasing the Lego Rock Band software for my family, I bought another for a friend who was weighted down by the heavy metal of Rock Band II. I would recommend it others, too. In spite of (or maybe due to) the Lego characters, its not just a game for the kiddies, although they should enjoy it almost as much as grown-ups do.

LEGO Rock Band merges two of the most popular video game franchises to deliver a unique family-friendly music experience that will take tweens, teens, families and gamers of all ages on a wild journey to rock stardom in order to "Build a Band and Rock the Universe." Combining the authentic multiplayer music experience of Rock Band with the accessibility, customization and humor of LEGO games, LEGO Rock Band allows players to create their own unique rock star style and customize their own avatars, band members, roadies, and managers. One of the fun LEGO influences is in the tablature flowing across the screen that directs your play. This is in the form of LEGO blocks color coded for each controller. As players successfully complete songs and rock challenges, they can collect LEGO 'studs,' with which they can customize their avatar and other in-game goodies in true LEGO Snap-On fashion. In addition, players can unlock additional content and collect amazing vehicles, which can transport their band from local gigs at rock clubs to epic stadium shows and even fantasy settings on Earth and beyond. The game contains a variety of play modes including Quickplay and Challenge, and will feature music both supplied on the game disc as well as downloadable content. I bought this game for my son, but I was not aware that the guitar we had for our PS2 was not compatable with the PS3! I found out after I recieved the game, so in a scramble to find him a guitar a week before Christmas, I failed to find one. I did find a microphone, however. I was going to wait until I could find the guitar to give him the game, but my older kids talked me into giving it to him with just the microphone. It turns out we had a blast singing to the songs and trying to hit the high notes!! We had a great time and a lot of laughs! I reccomend getting the microphone at least, even if you can't sing it is fun stuff! We had a Christmas to remember!

This game is for those Rock Band fans, like me. It's designed for children so it has a lot of options to make it easier (auto drum-kick, super easy level, you don't get thrown out of a song). You can earn trophies in a very easy way.

I am [..] and love legos, but what could be better than Legos for your PS2? I absolutely loved this game when I was younger and am seeking to purchase it. It isn't Fifa, but Fifa can get so boring that you need something a little wacky and different to lighten your mood. Start in a bad mood and you will be in a good mood when you are done. It isn't too terribly hard, but it is hard enough to keep someone entertained. At any rate, I am thirteen and really enjoy this game, so anyone younger will enjoy it twice as much. Lego couldn't have made a better video game.

My son and I LOVE LEGOS. We thought it might be cute to play LEGO Soccer on the PS2 (the Lego Star Wars for the PS2 are awesome!). Unfortunately this is not the case. This game is very bad, the graphics are awful, the color scheme hurts your eyes, and the game is hard to play.

when he opened it up on Christmas Eve. He's only four and he loves playing it. It will take him awhile to master it but still enjoys it.

Boy, is this guy ever funny! We've had such a blast playing with this guy and the lava monster. It's fun to combine them with the other sets in the Power Miner series and the agents series. We've not had any trouble with the legs staying on very much. You just have to get them on there correctly and they'll stay just fine. We've had battles with this guy and he's fallen from the table to the floor, and stayed in one piece. It's just super cute, not too hard for a nine-year-old to put together either. Took about 40 minutes all together. Great, great toy, awesome addition to the series, highly, highly recommend!

Nice addition to my collection - M&M Catboy - Chicago, Illinois, USA
I don't play with my LEGO and bought this set only to build and display, so durability isn't really an issue. Honestly, I bought it mainly for the monster minifig to complete my collection. The robot is pretty ugly. In any case, this isn't a bad set, and I don't think it deserves fewer than three stars.

Doesn't stay together - RB -
Although my son had fun putting this set together, he is now very frustrated because the legs do not stay on the Magma Mech. In my opinion this is due to very poor design. I would not recommend this product for children who like to play with their legos once they are put together.

The players might not look like themselves, but the NBA version of Lego's "legoman" is a great collectible. I have the TMAC, and of course the only drawback to that is it includes the no-defense player Allan Houston. Other than that, C-Webb is in it. I also purchased the three pack with VC, GP, and Dirk Nowitzki. I recommend this to everyone. I might splurge and get the Ultimate NBA Arena too!

My son got this game and I was expecting to have to buy a separate smaller memory stick just for this game to save on, however we were both pleasantly surprised that it saved just fine on his 4gb memory stick. His MS card is pretty full (less than 1gb free space) so possibly it works fine as long as the available space is less than 1gb or they have patched this game when they released as part of the greatest hits collection. Some of you who have problems getting it to save on large memory sticks might try putting some music or movies on the card to decrease the free space on it and see if then it will save. Aside from that, he loves this game as much as he loves the PS2 version and the pc version and the ds version - he loves this crazy game so much he has to have it for each and every gaming system he owns :)

Don't buy this game if your PSP has a 4GB memory stick - ontarget - Plano, TX
In short: game is fun to play but it seems like the software behind it is seriously outdated.

I just recently bought the PSP console and the SW II Original Trilogy game from Amazon. I installed a 4GB memory card and let my kids have a ball with the Original Trilogy game. After a couple of days they kept complaining that they were unable to save the game's state/scores to the memory card. Sure enough after tinkering around we concluded that the software expects a memory stick with a much smaller capacity. The software obviously either has a memory addressing limitation or it doesn't correctly handle the free memory information from the PSP's operating system. And sure enough the requirement on the game's case mentions only a 128KB Memory Stick DUO. This limitation is completely unacceptable at a time and age when a 128KB can be more expensive to acquire than a 8GB. Don't buy this game unless you want to be forced to also purchase a 128MB memory stick card!!!

Great game (of course). - pippy longstocking -
This game is perfect to play on the go. If you have this game on the Game Cube you will notice that there the same, except the psp doesent have people in the cantina. You also notice that sometimes when your a jedi, it'll be kind of hard to slash people with you litesabor, you well be able to costamize your character. It took me about 6 hours to complete but if don't focus on the studs,minikits and power bricks then you could finish the game in 3 hours.
